How To Update MyGica ATV 582 / ATV1800 Firmwares

Mygica ATV582 / ATV1800 with KR60 remote


Unzip and Copy all files from MyGica_ATV582_20140604 FW Update.zip to your SD cards root directory. Your SD card should look like this after you have copied all the files to the sd card

1. Unplug your box from the power adapter

2. Insert SD/TF card into the box card slot (No USB Flash Drives)

3. Press and hold down the upgrade button on the box. While holding down the upgrade button, plug in power adapter. Continue to hold down the upgrade button down for7 seconds or until you see flashing LED on the front of the box, then release upgrade button.

During this time you will see a black screen. (no video output) Do not become alarmed as this is normal. This process will take 1 to 2 minutes, be patient.

!!!!DO NOT UNPLUG THE UNIT OR POWER OFF DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS OR YOU RISK BRICKING OR DAMAGING YOUR UNIT!!!

4. After 1 to 2 minutes you will see the recovery screen appear. Please allow the unit to continue its updating process. This will take an additional 2 minutes

!!!!DO NOT UNPLUG THE UNIT OR POWER OFF DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS OR YOU RISK BRICKING OR DAMAGING YOUR UNIT!!!!
5. Your unit will reboot and you will see the Android Logo. Please continue to wait as the unit must finalize the installation. You may see the welcome screen briefly pop up during this process, disregard this and continue to wait. You will see an app package install screen during this time. This will take approximately 2 minutes for this process to complete and the apps installed.

6. Once the update process is complete you will see the welcome screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Wifi, Ethernet and other settings.

7. Choose your Launcher

Choose either the MyGica Launcher or other included Launchers. Once you have made your selection use the "Just Once" option. This will allow you to toggle between all launchers to determine which better suits your needs. Please note if you select the "Always" option after selecting your launcher there is no way to switch back without having to do a factory reset.

The entire update Firmware process takes about 6 to 7 minutes to complete from start to finish

* This process will upgrade your unit to the latest 4.4 firmware for units using the KR60 remote

*Please note that this process performs a factory re-set / wipe.

*Please be sure to back up all of your paid apps before performing this upgrade as this process will erase the contents of your unit.
